Steps to configure Forte

Setup the class source files:
After you have downloaded the class source files (see the courses home page) use an unzip program to extract the files.  Extracting with WinZip I suggest the following.
Extract to:  c:\class\java\javavqg
Check the option "Use file names"
Setup a Filesystem for your project:
In the Forte Explorer (If not open, launch from Forte: "View", "Explorer Window"), right click on "Filesystems".  Then click on "Add Directory".  Now browse to the directory where you have extracted you class source files.  Make sure you can see the directory in the listing.  Do not enter the directory!
(IE: c:\class\java\javavqg )
Configure Forte's Editor:
I like to change the following default editor settings:
Tools, Global Options
Editor Settings, Java Editor
Expand Tabs to spaces: True  (default is False)
Number of Spaces per Tab: 2  (default is 4)
Tab Size:  2  (default is 8)
